One Continuous Fight
The Retreat from Gettysburg and the Pursuit of Lee's Army of Northern Virginia, July 4-14, 1863

ONE CONTINUOUS FIGHT: The Retreat From Gettysburg and the Pursuit of Lee's Army of Northern Virginia, July 4-14, 1863 features two comprehensive and detailed driving/walking tours of the Retreat From Gettysburg beginning in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and ending at Williamsport and Falling Waters, Maryland. Eric J. Wittenberg, J. David Petruzzi, and Michael F. Nugent, noted for their personalized tours of battlefield and cavalry-related sites, are available to give tours of The Gettysburg Retreat for your group.

There are two separate tours: one follows the retreat of Lee's Wagon Train of Wounded, and the other follows the retreat of the main Confederate army. Both begin in Gettysburg. The Wagon Train of Wounded Tour proceeds to Cashtown and through the mountain pass, then along the (formerly) Pine Stump Road, to Greencastle, ending in Williamsport. The tour of the Confederate army's retreat leaves Gettysburg via the Fairfield Road, through Fairfield and the Monterey Pass, to Smithsburg, Leitersburg, Hagerstown, Funkstown, Boonsboro, Downsville, and ending at the Falling Waters river crossing. Each tour follows the tours in the book, and is filled with detailed battle actions, historical vignettes, and strategy and tactics discussions.

Fees depend on logistics of the tour for each group, and included is a personally signed copy of the book for each attendee. Simply use the link below to contact the authors.
